Our ministry focuses on reaching Japanese people in Toronto through community,
care, and faith-based engagement.
God has called us to serve the Japanese in Toronto
so that Japan can be reached with the gospel.
We offer materials, books, and resources in the Japanese language that support personal and spiritual growth. Some may need practical help with adjusting to life in Canada, such as freely receiving or borrowing winter clothing and quilts.
We spread the good news and God’s love through faith-based activities, including opportunities to learn from the Bible (Christianity Explored or the Book of John), pray, experience church and spiritual retreats.
We aim to create a welcoming and supportive community where individuals from Japan can come together to share their experiences, learn from each other, and in the hope to grow them spiritually.
We arrange cultural and language exchange events, trips, recreational activities, and gatherings that foster a deeper appreciation of both the host country’s culture and the culture of our participants. We assist with English language learning to the extent we can find spiritual seekers. In addition, Tim is studying Japanese at York University, so he can meet more Japanese people and be more effective in his ministry in Canada and Japan.
To facilitate the connection between returnees and ministry workers in Japan, Tim, and if possible Regie, travel to Japan and facilitate the connection personally, as well as to network with ministry workers in Japan. This connection helps ensure that the seeds we’ve sown are nurtured and continued by ministers in Japan.
